FUN New RV Extras

As we start to prepare for the next season of our rv adventure, we're installing a few new fun things, addressing a few issues, and stocking up on a few of our favorites and essentials. I wanted to share some of our finds with you ~

5 GALLON WATER BOTTLE PUMP

We do use our RV water tank/hookup for showers, dishes, hand washing, teeth brushing, etc., but we choose not to use it for our main source of drinking water. (For us this is a personal choice, and everyone has a different opinion on this.) This means we are constantly on the move buying/filling up waters. We found this super handy gadget, which pops right onto the top of a 5 gallon jug and pumps out water on demand. Plus, this reduces our trips to get water and cuts back on plastics being used. (You can take the empty 5 gallon jugs back to the grocery to be recycled.) This little water pumps works great, and is easy to charge when it runs low on battery.

KEYLESS RV LOCK

The lock on the front door of the camper has been giving us a little trouble, so we decided to try this keyless entry rv lock system. I actually put this on by myself, and it was super easy and fairly quick. We LOVE it!

HAPPY CAMPER RV HOLDING TANK TREATMENT

Nobody likes a stanky black tank! This is the best we've found at helping to keep smells at bay. Just fill the toilet up with water, sprinkle in a scoop full and flush. We do this every couple of weeks.

PERSONALIZED CAMPSITE FLAG

At every campground we visit, we love taking walks and checking out all the rigs. Many campers have personalized campsite signs that add some fun to their RV sites. It's also fun to see where people are from and a little insight into their RV story. We decided to get a personalized yard flag to take with us this year. There are tons of options on ETSY!

USA MAP CORKBOARD

The boys both have one of these cork boards on the wall of their bunks and love to stick their national monument pins in them. I used command strips to stick them to the wall, and they are great size.

CEILING TRACK FOR CURTAINS

I've been playing with the idea of putting some curtains up in the bunk room to give the kids a little bit more privacy in their own bunks. This option was recommended by other rv families, so we decided to give it a go. First, you have to flatten out the track, which comes curled up in a loop. Next, install involves screwing the track to the ceiling of the RV. I was really nervous about putting screws in the ceiling, but it worked out great!
