When we left Bar Harbor, we headed south on Route 1 for about two hours. We passed back through Belfast and then Camden, which was a super cute little town - would love to return there to visit!
We stopped just outside of South Thomaston, Maine, at Pepper Hill Farm. We were able to stay here as members of the Harvest Host program, which we love. (We wished we used it more!)
They had four sites designated for Harvest Host members here, and we chose one in the back of the property next to a lovely open green space at the edge of the trees. We had one other couple stop over here for the evening as well and enjoyed chatting with them about their travels from Ohio.
The highlight here was saying hello to the Icelandic ponies in the barn. They are quite handsome and really enjoyed a few scratches behind the ears!
