We checked off a huge golf bucket list item for our family when we had the chance to go to the The Players and watch the pros hit on the infamous #17 island green par-3. We woke up at 5am to make it to the course early and ensure a great spot at the signature hole. Many players were wrapping up their behind-schedule round 3, then also playing out round 4 the same day.
The pros were definitely a little agitated after a long weekend of colder than usual temps and weather delays. We saw some amazing shots land on the green, and we also saw plenty plonk right into the island waters.
TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach is an absolutely gorgeous course. It gets the most beautiful award for sure! The view from the #18 tee box looking across the water down the narrow fairway towards the majestic club house is stunning. We spent most of our time around the 17th, so we didn't get to explore the front nine much. It would be a dream to get to visit TPC Sawgrass again in the future!
