The stars aligned with our schedule, and we just happened to be going through San Antonio the same week as the Valero Texas Open. The PGA tour has just started letting a reduced number of fans into tournaments, and we were so excited to get out to see the pros play!
It was the kids' first trip to a PGA tournament, so it was really fun for them to see all the guys we watch play on tv. Being the week before the Masters, not all of the top players made the Valero, but we saw many of our favorites - Phil Mickelson, Gary Woodland, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and more. The kids even scored some autographed balls and a few waves from the pros. The crowds weren't too bad at all and we were able to get pretty close to some awesome shots.
